Come out to Oak Hill Cemetery & Mausoleum, located on 1400 E Virginia St, Evansville, on October 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. for Howl O’Ween Dog Walk! This fun and special ONE day event will benefit the Spirit Medical Fund. Responsible pet owners are invited to come and spend the entire day at the cemetery with their beloved, four legged friends. There will also be a Pet Historic Walking tour at 11:30 a.m. and a Halloween Costume Contest at 1 p.m. on the Veteran’s Plaza. Celebrity judges will be on hand, and prizes will be offered in each of the following Classes: Large Dog, Medium Dog, Small Dog, and Cat. Celebrity judges include Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Eyewitness News WEHT/WTVW reporter Jordan Vandenberge, 106.1 Kiss FM Radio Personality Kat Mykals, and City Councilwoman Missy Mosby.
The suggested donation is $5 per pet owner to benefit the Spirit Medical Fund.
Don’t have a furry friend of your own? No worries!! All are welcome at this event! Dogs and cats from Animal Care and Control will be available for “temporary” adoption for the afternoon, or you can give them a forever home!
