Sunday, December 4 at Walton’s International Comfort Food – 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Hailing from Tennessee, both Chef Tim Mills of Walton’s International Comfort Food and Madeleine’s Fusion Restaurant, and Championship winning BBQ Pitmaster Chris Mills of Flying Pigs Barbecue were deeply affected by the devastating fires in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge TN area.
Wanting to help and to give back to this area, Tim, Chris and local food & dining journalist Brian Buxton are holding a Fire Relief BBQ Fundraiser this Sunday for the families and individuals affected by this fire – to date more than 14,000 people have been evacuated, ten have been killed, at least a dozen injured, and 400 homes and businesses damaged or destroyed.
You can help by simply enjoying a special BBQ dinner at Walton’s this Sunday, December 4th between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. For $15.00 you can enjoy Pork Shoulder, BBQ Chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad and your choice of water, tea or soda.
**Brisket and Burnt ends prepared by Otis Carter, formerly of Carne Asada, will be available at the dinner or for carryout at an additional cost.**
You can also drop donations by Walton’s all week long and Sunday during the event. **ANY CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO: City of Pigeon Forge Fire Relief Fund. Or donate online at this YouCaring account! https://www.youcaring.com/
100% of the dinner sales and donations collected will go to an account at Citizens Bank in Sevierville, that will be distributed to those affected in the entire county.
At this time we are not asking for any other types of donations as their need changes daily and they have been inundated with food, animal food and other supplies.
Please share this event and we hope to see everyone Sunday!!!
